How can I get rid wild beach roses without having to use herbicides or do extensive digging?

I am looking for a more natural way to treat the roses.
They have invaded a lot of my yard. Thanks?

Offer them on your local FreeCycle...tell them in your post that you'll give them away free, if they'll come dig 'em up! Alternatively you could find a local gardening group, and let them know the same....
