How can you find a ground hornets' nest?
Answers: Walk VERY slowly and carefully through your patio looking for flying insects near the ground. There may merely be a couple flying at a time. Then call an exterminator to remove the nest. In California, the local Agriculture Department will dispatch out someone to kill hornets and sickly jackets within the ground for free!!
If you think that in attendance is a hornet's nest in your patio, keep adjectives children and pets indoors until you locate and destroy the nest.
Good Luck!!!
If its within your lawn, a short time ago keep flooding the grass several times per week. They will soon move out. This happen to us a couple of years ago.
By the way, they will sometimes attack a sward mower. Be sure the person mowing wear long sleeves, long pants, and a gardener's general brim hat.
Lawnmowers, string trimmers, palm leaf blowers, rototillers and jumping up and down while screaming enjoy all worked economically for me. RScott
I found my ground bees while riding on a lawn tractor. I found my second nest of ground bees while pulling out matured strawberry plants. The third nest was found by two obedient sized stings in the reverse while minding my own business. I don't think that you can spot them first. You find them by interferring. However, if you preserve a cautious eye to the ground while gardening, mowing, or walking, you might purely find the nest before the sentinels find you. When they do buzz you, don't run...the more panicky you bring back, the more they seem to storm you. It took in the region of two weeks before the welt went down.
