Do Azalea's grow well in Colorado ?l?
Answers:
Probably not. They are indigenous to the Southeastern states and are susceptible to freezing temperatures. They thrive in warm, moist climates.

Some azeleas might do ok, you would have to check with your local garden departments...if you have severe winters, probably not, but then again, I had azeleas in Washington DC and they did fine through lots of snow and very cold weather. Select varieties that withstand cold and are bred for your area. Good luck.

as a Georgian who misses Colorado greatly i am sorry to say that the only way you can grow an azalea in colorado is probably going to be inside... while i was in the springs i purchased a 1.5" pot of a baby azalea... it did ok in the pot during the summer...i know for a fact that there aren't any azaleas grown in zone 5 in north carolina... i don't know off the top of my head what you are in colorado... but zone 6 is about where it stops growing outdoors
