Could someone help me to identify and treat an infestation on my lamb's ear plants?

They are small black beetles, about the size of a ladybug, but flatter. I don't see any damage on the plants, but they just creep me out.

Answers:
They might be "beneficial" bugs that eat the bad ones and if you get rid of them the bad one may take over....just a thought. They might be there for a reason...because there is something there for them to eat....other little critters I mean since you don't see any plant damage. Anyway, you might put a couple of them in a plastic bag like zip locks and take them to you local nursery to see if they can tell you. If you are near a University, you could also take them to the Entomology department (study of insects) and ask them (also in a zoip lock bag).

Other answers:
If you dont wish to use any sprays, as I don't like to. Water them, wash the plant of the bugs, if they are flying beetles they will leave. GL
