Answers:    Not to worry, it's basically nature doing it's duty. What you saw was simply some normal mold that like to grow in threatening moist places. The whole purpose of the composting process is to see organisms like mold and other bugs to break down what we put into the compost bin.

Eventually it will all rot away so that will not be a problem. Rotting away is what composting is going on for so just present it time and it will be perfect.
Don't verbs about the fungus, its immaculately normal. It is one of the organisms that break down the snippets into compost/dirt. Just make sure that your bin is properly aired and isn't soaking showery; being too showery will slow the process.
