Why Does My Lawn Look Dead After Seeding?
Answers:
I would say if you seeded recently you probably burnt it.. You need to only water shortly after you seeded, then make it a point to water in early mornings, or evenings after the sun goes down. Don't water while the sun is shining on your lawn it will burnt it and destroy the seeds.. Watering if fine, just don't over water or under water.. Give it time to absorb for a couple days then try watering like I said.. Good Luck!

I don't know much about gardening and landscaping, but maybe you pore to much water causing the seeds or the new grass to die from drowning. You know. Maybe you should get some professional help or something. I'm sure you will find out what's wrong and fix it as soon as possible. Well good luck and take care!
Ciao~
P.S: I do know that it's better to water your lawn in the morning because the sun will like dry up the water and well It's better to water the lawn in the morning so it can stay fresh for a while.

Odd that it started from a single patch. You may have had a fungus attack through the roots underground. Did you ever see any mushrooms? hmm.
They sell fungicides at the garden stores. Mainly for bushes and such, but you might be able to get it with that. Might also try watering a little bit less.... mostly in the morning, and several hours before sunset, so the lawn stays drier at night.
