Why do we start picking sour grass whenever we sit contained by a meadow?

we get hold of bored and our hands obligation to do something ! dont you hate it when teacher go "dont pick the grass !" because if they sit on the lawn they'd do that too !
Because it's only one of those things that we feel compelled to do. Don't forget to throw the grass too!
