Is here a fine and a coarse fescue?

I want a finer (as opposed to ciarse) fescue. Is near any disadvatage to having fine fescue?

Answers:    It adjectives depends on where you are planting the grass - sun/shade. Turf Type Tall Fescue is a flawless choice for sunny lawn areas (although it can tolerate some shade), but it tend to have a coarser blade. Fine fescues similar to Chewings and Creeping Red are great candidates for shady areas where on earth grass is difficult to grow. The only problems I've ever face with the finer grasses are: they tend to wear out at the double when subjected to heavy foot traffic and they requirement to be dethatched more often after other grass types. That should suffice... Good luck! http://groups.myspace.com/HARDCOREHORTIC...
