Answers: This is a Texas Star hibiscus.
They can clutch extreme heat and direct sun contained by the summer. Need lots of water, sort of a bog plant surrounded by Texas.
We have several growing surrounded by BIG containers. The flowers appear later than most.
After the flower drops bad, do not cut the remaining pod. Let these dry on the stem. When they turn black/dark brown, you will find several hard seed inside the pod. Next spring, soak the seeds surrounded by water for a couple of days and next plant them. You will get more T.S.H.
Just since the first frost in autumn, cut the stems to the ground.
If surrounded by containers, cut to the soil line and consequently cover the containers with a tarp or unhealthy rug to keep the roots from freezing.

Hibiscus coccinea Swamp Hibiscus
Hibiscus moscheutos. It's know commonly as 'Hardy Hibiscus', and there are plentiful cultivars. Here in the Northeast, you can find it contained by the perennials section at most nurseries (maybe not at Lowe's or Home Depot though).
