How to trim a palm tree?

Answers:
Never cut the entire top off a palm tree--it will die.

Now, to remove old and dead growth, trim each leaf to within 2-3 inches of trunk. If tree is over 12' tall, hire a pro--the chance of falling is not worth the savings in cost.

Again, leave the last 3-7 leaves at top.

I don't think you really have to trim a plam tree.

only take off the brown fronds...and seed sacks if needed....unless you want to do a hurricane cut...then you take off all except the main "shoots" coming out the middle....
