You must verbs it over with a garden fork accumulation as much organic situation as is possible. After a few years you should enjoy a reasonable soil, but you will solely be able to grow plants that y approaching, or will put up with your indigestible soil.
DO NOT USE GYPSUM, this improves the structure of alkali soils. 99% of clay soils contain plenty or too much lime, gypsum will add to the problem, unless the soil is excessively acerbic, which is most unlikely.
