What vegetetables or herbs can be planted now?

Garden space is around 14' by 30'. TIA for any advice.

Answers:
This is the right time for any that takes less than 70 days to mature. Any longer and your alread too late if you live in the northern states. If you live from West verginia south, you have a few more weeks.

If you have a poor drainage area take advantage of it and plant herbs that are water loving. A simple water garden casn be planted in a wooden tub or galvanized wash tub that is sunk into the ground. You can plant a water lily or water hyacinth in it and around it plant wild ginger, chickweed, horsetail, and other moisture loving herbs. Just an idea! A little shade, birds, (hint for a bird bath, butterfly bowl) and a bench really look good around it too
You didn't state what area of the country that you live in. Check and see what the average first frost date is for your area and go from there! Most things can be planted now that have a less-than-90-day growing period. Hope this helps.
first off you didn't tell us where you live.
In california you plant year round. Right now it is pretty hot. Seeds might grow if I kept them super wet but if I plant any plants out of pots better shade them for a week or so to get them acclimated.
Your garden center and what they are carrying in your area is your best bet. If they are selling it in your area you can probably plant it.
