I own a 9yr.infirm Ficus Tree contained by pot can it be placed within ground?
Answers: It's a tropical. If you never own any winter, then yes.
For me (in ohio), absolutely not.
If it ever freezes where you live, you might consider, subsequent time you need to re-pot, prune the top by at smallest a third, and do the same next to the roots. Then use the same pot, or certainly consider root-pruning enough to put it into a smaller pot.
If you are contained by zone 9 or 10, fine.
