I own a 9yr.infirm Ficus Tree contained by pot can it be placed within ground?

its getting pretty big. the pot its in wishes to be moved by a dolly. if there is any process for ground planting, i'd appreciate the info.the roots are showing at the top of soil. i just cant switch moving it all the time


Answers:    It's a tropical. If you never own any winter, then yes.

For me (in ohio), absolutely not.

If it ever freezes where you live, you might consider, subsequent time you need to re-pot, prune the top by at smallest a third, and do the same next to the roots. Then use the same pot, or certainly consider root-pruning enough to put it into a smaller pot.
If you are contained by zone 9 or 10, fine.
