Pond Heater wat do u recommend?

I want to keep my koi outside for this winter wat oven do u recommend for it? I have a 250 gallon pond but is thoroughly long. Links will be great because im willing to buy it online.


Answers:    I live contained by the Dakotas were the rime freezes 6ft down and my 3000 gallon pond is only 5ft reflective. I've kept my koi alive using two strategies. After I get 6" of rime on the pond I pump out a 6" air space, which act as an insulator. I also leave a small 300gph pump running on the bottom of the pond. In olden times I kept fish in a 250gal stock container with a 1000watt reservoir heater from a plant and ranch store, impossible to tell apart little pump and covered it with clear plastic. RScott
