Which is better, a beautiful front yard, or a beautiful back yard? Just bought a house and can't afford both!

Do your front area first, that will be the initial focal point of your home. If your front is in great shape and people see the back area then all you have to do is tell them the truth... "We are working on that next!"
i did the back yard at my house first so i could have friends over and bbq, swim, entertain. made more sense to me
Um it depemds, are u trying to compete with your neighbors or is it just a u thing. to compete frontyard, but 4 sumting personal backyard. and thats REAL.

a) be thankful that you had a fancy front yard for complete strangers to notice as they drove by.
b) be thankful that you invested time, energy, and a little money in creating a warm and inviting back yard for you to enjoy each others company.
A beautiful front and back yard is ideal, but as you know it takes time and money. I would spend time fixing up the place where you are going to spend the most time. Congratulations on your new home!
Depends. If you want to have a more private garden, backyard is the way to go. You can make your own oasis, a secluded area where you can relax. A front yard is more for showing off. Better yet: Go for the backyard first, save more money, then go for the front yard. It's really good to have something for you when you star building something for others. And if you're fed up with doing all the front yard work, go to your backyard and relax.

we always have both but its nicer to do a frontyard.it compliaments.your house plus itll,be nicer for the neibourhood.
Our home has a beautiful backyard, because unfortunately when we bought the house we didn't realize that it was in a bad section of the neighborhood. So we did our work on the backyard so we would have somewhere safe for ourselves and our children that was nice. If your neighborhood is good and your front yard is decent, then do something special with the back. If the neighborhood is bad then definitely do the back. If the neighborhood is nice and the front yard's a wreck, do some work in the front. But keep most of your work in the back yard for yourselves.
Since the curb appeal is decent and the backyard is bare you should definitely do the backyard so that you can then enjoy your home to the fullest. What's the point if you can't enjoy being outdoors you won't want to hang out on the front lawn! Your friends and neighbors will know what's in store for you front yard just by seeing what you've done with the back! Garden Rooms are really in right now and you'd have a nice place to entertain and summer is right around the corner. Congratulations on your new home!
I believe you could face lift both areas for very little money if you make your own landscape plan, do your own work.Utilize seed instead of plants and you can save alot of money. Also if you have friends with gardens, some plants can be spilt. I always make it known I will take plants others might throw away.
