I own a frangipani which leaves turn pale and own black spot on them am i doing something wrong?

Answers:    Frangipani are usually very firm and not prone to the insects and diseases like some plants. Ordinairly I would believe it's a concern of poor drainage.
The yellow leaves usually indicate that.
The black spots I don't know.

Fact Sheet: Frangipani
http://www.abc.net.au/gardening/stories/...
Frangipanis typically drop their leaves in the slump (they are deciduous). If you are in the southern hemisphere that would explain the fern drop, which might be accompanied by some palm leaf spotting as the leaves senesce.
If you have a tree starting to sprout out different leaves for spring, and they are spotting and falling off, the plant could enjoy gotten a touch of cold, or you may have saline build-up in the soil. Salt build up is most commonly cause by over- fertilizing, but can be caused, over time, by not watering thoroughly satisfactory for water to run out of the drain holes within the bottom of the pot. This can be quickly corrected by watering the plant repeatedly (5 or 6 times) so that river flows freely out of the bottom of the pot several times. Good luck.
