whats the best way to keep moles from ruining your lawn i have about one acre of land i need some good ideas?

I have a tried and tested cure for those little buggers . I lived in South Dakota and the moles were tearing up my vegetable garden . Well I happened to hear a Paul Harvey report on the radio and he said the Minneapolis College there reported that Juicy Fruit chewing gum was the best . The scent attracts the moles and when they eat the sticks of gum they cant digest it and it plugs them up and kills them . They will carry the gum back to their nests as well . When you spot a new mound you have to dig down till you come to the mole hole . Shove several sticks of the Juicy Fruit gum in the hole then cover back up . If new mounds reappear repeat process . IT WORKED for me , so give it a try .

Moles are after grubs and other crawlers beneath your lawn. I cringe when I say this but you could apply a chemical or pesticide to put a kabosh to their food supply.

One acre? Try planting 2 castor bean trees in seperate locations. My grandfather planted them at the ends of his garden, and they repelled moles very well.
I don't know what it is they don't like about castor bean trees, but they will leave.
if you can get a few birthday cards or greetings cards the ones with the annoying tunes in them .. remove the little gismo that makes the tune and pop them in the mole run the constant noise drives the moles away or if you put a small glass bottle in the run with its open top just above ground the wind whistling over the top makes a noise and they soon move on
I have a few things that work for me.I hope you have the luck I did.
1.Spread Maxwell House coffee grounds around your yard. It not only fertilizes your lawn, but, it repels moles.
2.To repel gophers and moles,shove a few sheets of Bounce Classic into the tunnel openings and then fill the openings with dirt.The fragrance(oleander, a natural repellent) repulses gophers and moles.
3 Pour used Tidy Cats into the mole tunnels. The creatures smell the scent of their natural enemy and quickly tunnel elsewhere.
