The best place to find info about the purchase and care of carnivorous plants is in your local library, as most carry a number of books. A good plant nursery is also a good place to ask, they usually have a small selection for sale. Mostly their care comes down to sitting them in pots filled with spaghnum moss in a container of rain-water, with good light, pulling out the occassional weed, and letting them thrive on neglect. They feed themselves. Any kind of fertiliser and/or plant food is a big no-no. It is the quickest way to kill them. Tap water will too. Some variteties die off when they flower [it's the leaves that are modified in pitcher plants and venus flytraps], so it is a good idea to snip the flowers off even though they are really beautiful. Otherwise, that's about it on care...it's the amazing amounts and types of varieties that astounded me.
Another place you may find info is through a local carniverous plant club, check the local phone book, or, again the library may be able to help there too.
I hope this helps:)
