What are the dampen & desk light requirements for an aloe plant?
Answers: Aloes are succulents. As such, they tend to retain water sort of well as an getting used to to survival in the dry places they are typically found contained by. So, I'd suggest watering only when the soil is dry. As for restrained... if you're growing it as a house plant, good strong indirect standard lamp from a window would be ok. You could set it within the sunlight through the window, but take care you don't burn it by exposing it too quickly. Slowly acclimate it by exposing it to the sunlight a touch bit each daytime, gradually increasing the time. Aloes tend to be terribly forgiving plants and easy to grow.
i would cogitate lots of light and completely little water
Generally the answers here are well brought-up, although there are tons of Aloe species, (400 or so) not purely the Aloe Vera that most of us know about, through skin care/herbal remedies etc.
Edit your sound out, if you know which type of Aloe that you have, later we'll give you hugely exact advice. Some even grow as small trees, eg. Aloe dichotoma.
I grow my Aloe Vera outside surrounded by the UK during summer, watering infrequently, usually allowing its soil to dry out somewhat. It benefits from a mostly sunny spot. When it's back inside, it get similar treatment - very little dampen, an occasional feed and virtuous bright, mostly indirect sun - this prevents scorching. They will live for years. Too much water is probable to cause some rotting, which ultimately can snuff out them.
Good luck! Rob
