salt and malt vinegar
Don't laugh.

Our family enjoys putting sliced cucumber in vinegar right before supper and we eat it with supper. Also good with cider vinegar and onions, or just with a tad of salt.
Vinegar. or make a sandwich with mayo and bread
peal it, slice or chop it, add salt
before you peel it cut the two tips off then rub them on the exposed sides of the cucumber until a lot of white comes out, then cut off a slice and you have removed the bitterness.
you're supposed to cut the tips off and rub them on the edges and if the cucmber isn't fresh the cut out the seeds...
Do what freaky gardener says... that is what I was always taught.
