How do I stop Mint from taking over my garden, I planted some 3 years ago and it is popping up everywhere?!!?

Answers:
You need to spray it with weed spray. Something that won't hurt your plants, but will kill the mint. I had that stuff all over my yard and the weed spray worked. Just don't use a weed spray that is a vegetation killer. It will kill your plants and your grass too.

Most of the time, it works if you uproot the Mint regularly.
Try to dig all the root up.I think its best to plant mint in a pot.
same problem, it worked fine to pull them before going to seed then dig up the roots, over time they quit coming back. Now I always plant mint in pots since it can really take over!
plant it in pots if you want to keep it and don't want it to take over... the reason it does this is because it has some underground stems called "rhizomes" that shoot all under the ground and send stems upwards... if you don't want to use the abundance uproot some and stick it in a pot and leave the pot slightly above ground... this will ease your troubles...
Mint is a virus to plants.
Further reference for you, I would start a new garden.
When if ever to plant mint again, plant it in it's own container.
