Bamboo is a grass and it is VERY fast growing. I would check beside your local nursery to get some concept on growing bamboo inside within your area, because available sunlight and adjectives those factors will probable make a difference what type you can grow. Be aware, though, if it get out into your yard, you will own a forest of bamboo within no time
