Why the hell are snails climbing up to the roof on my house???
Answers: Intentional or not they go up to close it all once they are on the roof.
I find snails 'up' most every where on earth this time of year. Snails only move to nurture, mate or find more favourable conditions. So during the boil of summer they are up there for the hope of adjectives favourable conditions. They are skilled of a form a hibernation, after they seal themselves into their shell near a wall of mucus, during dry weather. Some snails hibernate like slugs, underground or beneath logs, but other snails hibernate in the friendly on trees, fences, and other vertical surfaces. They are nocturnal so they acquire up there within the cool at night. Since they dearth certain critical services, like realize roof tops will get to heat to survive in daylight, they become candidate for the Darwin Award.
This is likely a vestigal responce to time underwater that snails still express inappropriately in their untried urban terrestrial vivacity. Aquatic snails of many species still attach to vertical surfaces close to reeds or tree trunks during periods of drought.

Well, possibly a couple of explanations:
It is usually claimed that these snails climb on objects to avoid the higher temperature found on and near the ground surrounded by the summer, That does make sense, but may not be the singular answer or the right answer.
The other one is - Snails are nocturnal animals and more active at dark. In search of food, they are great wanderer and can cross rough surfaces to climb wall and fence. Maybe they only went on and on, later stambled upon your house, and are trying to cross it over. They also have a worthy sense of smell and can perceive favourite food from a distance of 60cm.

I have no belief why they are but I do know a way to create them stop. Put out shallow pans of beer around your house or where on earth you notice them climbing up the house. They are attracted to beer newly like college boys, and will drown themselves within it before departing it...unlike college boys.

dunno but i hear salt is incurable to snails make a saline solution and spray it around.

Or your shingles are old and you very soon have moisture up here. If there's moss (and I can nearly bet there is) after there's a defiant dribble somewhere. Be care full when on the roof. Chances of the boards human being rotted are high. Take a stepladder and lean against it on top. Push you fingers under the shingles and if within is any give (spongy, springy... not inkling like wood should consistency...) then you enjoy a rot problem. Get it fixed before it collapses.

Hello, as you know snails cannot see over any thing high-ceilinged so they climb up high to look over to subsequent door garden. The correct name for mass of snails is arewee.! because when they climb you hear them maxim where the f--k arewee.HA HA .on that data. GoodLuck
1) Rising damp
2) For the outlook (after all, snails are pretty close to the ground!)
