I own potted plants on my deck and some of them own moss growing on the surface of the dirt?
Answers: Rather than adjectives back on your watering, try watering contained by the morning, so that the surface of the soil has time to dry, and can't support moss. The moss really won't spoil the plants, but it can be unsightly.
If you're already watering in the morning, next you might consider using Physan in the hose; however, this should not be used on vegetables - only ornamentals.

Give the plants a bit more drying and/or sun, plus you could try scraping sour the moss and letting it dry a bit more and/or replacing the top layer of soil after it dries out a bit. The humidity is a factor, but contained by MA it will change soon - it's New England Ayup. In Southern PA we hold real issues next to moss. I have to hold on to after it any place that's not in the sun for hours every time. Good luck with your plants!
