A squirrely question?
Answers:
We tried most of the suggestions given here and in the end we bought ourselves a trap for squirrels which we set and captured the pests then took them to the park and released them. We very occasionally get visited, but they don't hang about now.

How about a scare-squirrel?

If you can stand the smell sprinkle moth balls around. They don`t like the smell either.. Good Luck and God Bless. {;-)
I have heard setting out dog or cat fur helps to scare them away. Otherwise you can try one of those humane traps but then you'd have to have a place far away to dump them.
They are lovely additions to a garden, I don't think they need to go anywhere. They make the garden more enjoyable to watch....
predator urine like fox or coyote
I love squirrels too, but they can be a nuisance. Try mixing up 3 Tbs of hot pepper (cayenne), a Tbs of dish soap and some water in a hand spray bottle and then spraying it on your plants. Unfortunately squirrels (and most mammals) don't like cayenne. A couple of tastes and they'll learn.
Fox Urine, found at a feed store. It provides an easy way to get rid of them as the fox is its natural predator. To us, the urine is scentless as well.
