What do you to to daffodils after their blooms have died and fallen off?

Answers:
nothing..wait until they are brown before mowing/cutting down..the green part is how they get food to the bulb to store for flowering the next year..might take a couple of months or so before they die back completely but it is worth it..have more flowers the next year doing this

i learned this the hard way..peonies are the same way

I have cut the greenery off at the ground after blooming.. but it's best to let them "die" down naturally... Mine are still adding greenery to my rock garden.. and they look ok.. Since they grow from a bulb underground, if it's not disturbed, they should come back in the spring and possibly even multiply! good luck with your garden!

I am no expert gardener by any means but I have been growing various bulbs including daffodils for the past few years. I live in Indiana and don't do anything to them, the daffodil bulbs are hardy enough to last through the winter here and still bloom. If you live somewhere that is in a differt planting zone this might be different.
