How do you mow a lawn ?

i need the basic version and also any tips or tricks

Answers:
Uh..... use a lawnmower. When cutting the grass, overlap your cuts. Its not exactly rocket science. My 6 year old does it all the time.

Other answers:
With a lawn mower.
With a lawn mower.
push the lawn mower untill all the grass is short.
Better to cut often and higher than scalp the lawn, especially in dry weather.

Vary the pattern each time you cut to avoid making ruts.

Save the clippings for garden mulch.

Keep your mower blade very sharp.

Don't cut when the grass is wet from dew or rain.
The first cut of the lawn should be horizontal and the next vertical direction. Bill
Keep the mower blade higher during the Summer months so that the grass doesn't dry out so fast. In the Fall till early Spring, you can lower the blade.

The advice posted earlier about changing directions (horizontal & then vertical) is another good tip!
