How long do systemic insecticides stay within the plant?

If I apply a store-bought systemic insecticide on vegetable plants, after how many years will it be locked to eat the vegetables?

Would the chemicals still be present contained by a harmful amount after three years?

Answers:    It adjectives depends on the active ingredient. If it be Imidichloprid it will last one season but you should not use this on fruits, veggies, or nuts. Most other products usually concluding around 30 days. All the info should be on the label. You usually shouldn't treat plants inwardly 30 days of harvest and some chemicals own a maximum amount per season that can be safely applied. Please read the label for your safety. None of the stuff out here will kill you unless you consume massive quantity, but smaller amounts can possibly make you sick.
