any one know a home remedy for duck weeds in a pond?

I've heard that getting grass carp in there to eat it can help. Some people say to put in cornmeal, but I think that actually makes it worse. If you can figure out a way to add a bunch of salt in the pond, duck weed can't grow in saltwater. I think the best way to get rid of it is to use a net to get out what you can and buy an aerator for the pond and you'll eventually be rid of it.
