Why would someone report an answer that had already been chosen as the best answer by the asker?

The reason given was simply "Other". The answer contained only horticultural terms, no swear words and it was the asker's favourite answer. I'm not bothered about the points, I just want to help people out. I'm bothered that an answer that the asker liked best has now been removed for no good reason.

Interesting that you ask . . . I had a similar experience myself, just yesterday. . .

Seems that there are quite a few vindictive folks at HomeABC.net (as everywhere else in the world)
and if you have 'disturbed them', at some time, with some answer - their most effective and rapid pay back is to 'delete' your entry by hitting the 'report abuse' button (found with each submission), anywhere on this site. . .

Your input is removed - regardless of content - almost immediately - because Yahoo monitors do not see abuse reports right away. . . the process is an automatic one, and those who wish to 'get you' for whatever reason, know this.

The world is strange, and people even stranger. Let it go - sometimes sh*t happens even with the best intentions. Best not to let it get to you - you've tried your best to be helpful but there are a lot of arsey people out there.
Maybe it was a mistake. Doesn't make sense to me either!
