What is the best way to propagate a rhododendrom from cuttings?

We have green cuttings. Will just water work, or what is best?

Answers:
Two ways, you can either bury part of a living branch with dirt over a portion of it and in a few weeks to months roots will appear. Second you can 'air layer' it by taking a small branch and tie soil or peat moss onto the branch in mid air and hold the soil or peat moss on by bandage gauze or cheese cloth strips, or old bed sheeting. You must keep the air layered bundle moist. It is also best to always have a joint at the point of burial or air layering. Good luck.........
