How many 40 pound bags of topsoil equal 1 cubic yard?
Answers:
One cubic yard is about as much as 14 40-pound bags from the store.
Other answers:
Check the bag to see if it says how many cubic ft are in the bag. I think they have to. Then #bags = 27/(cubic ft per bag). It is alot of bags, if you need alot, consider bulk delivery, you'll probably save money in the long run.

Most bagged toppers and stone, mulch etc, are sold measured in cubic something and it's usually on the bag.
Without doing YOUR math problem, I'll give you an example.
AT HD river rock is sold, bagged, at 1.5 CU FT per. Apply the measurment on the bag to what constitutes a cubic yard.
