Nothing much will survive the chlorine, especially planted around the pool.
I can only suggest planting in containers and moving them when the pool is used.

Trees such as palms and ficus are a good choice, as well as shrubs like junipers, succulent jade plants and camellias. Perennials like aloe, lilies, irises, yuccas, amaryllis and bird of paradise are all good poolside choices.
Plant almost anything you like. The secret is to use gardners gypsum in the soil. It will neutralize the pool chemicals. Use at double the rate listed, then touch up about every 2 months with smaller doses.
Palm tree
be carefull about planting trees around any pool, the root will go to the water even chlorine. i agree with the potted plant thing, then you can move them inside during cold weather. also dont plant things bugs like or you will be cleaning that pool all the time good luck
My in-laws have a similar situation . . . they live in Michigan. Cannas was a great suggestion. I've found that coneflowers are very impervious to the chlorine as well and are native to the U.S. Butterflies love them so you could have some nice colour in addition to your flowers! Too, they come back year after year.
