We have a small patio that gets little sun and lots of rain in winter. Is slate the best thing or is there?

something better that would resist the moss growth?

Answers:
You can use any out door tile, flagstone or patterned concrete. If moss starts you can use diluted bleach to kill the moss.Just pour it on and scrub it off with a stiff bristled broom and rinse well.Try sealing with a clear sealer right after installation, this will delay the onset of moss.Thompson's is the cheapest but the best is SUPER DIAMOND CLEAR from Euclid chemicals.Pricey though.
