you can mix a solution of garlic and red peper and let it soak in water to form a tea like solution and then strain it,and spray it all over you garden .beleive me it works,me and my mom read it in a book and tried it in our vegetable gardens when the grasshoppers were real bad and it actually detoured them. although every time it rain you have to redo it.because it washes away. also, you can make a tea like solution from thistle the same way as the other and it help too!also marigolgs help a little with insect.for animals try using black or red pepper on the ground around the garden.these are all great and none of them will harm you or animals
ok, take 4 cloves of garlic, 1 small onion, 1 small jalapeno pepper, 1 tsp. of Murphy's oil soap, 1 tsp. of vegetable oil and warm water. pulverize the onion, garlic and pepper in blender, let them steep in a jar of warm water for at least 2 hrs. Strain the mixture, then dilute with 3 parts of warm water. Add Murphy's oil soap and vegetable oil. Now it is ready, place in sprayer and spray plants several times a week. this will also help with any disease plants get.
