re-attaching a grafted cacti?

Im so mad..I have a pink on green grafted cacti that either a coon or a possum knocked off ledge. The top part (pink) broke off.
is there any way to save the plant?

Is the top bit (pink) still eg fleshy?If it is too dried out ,cut to live material,just a little,do the same for the graft if necessary...then attach rubber bands to the plant..not too securely..but enough for them to stabilise...say a sunny windowsill. Good Luck.I hate that..
