How do I get my callilily to bud properly?

Depending on what zone you are in you can plant it outside. I got a pot of Calla lilies last summer. I planted them in the ground right away meaning to dig them up in the fall. I forgot to dig them up and they came up this spring and bloomed. They were more beautiful than they were when I bought them.
