My lemmongrass is covered in flies. Why is this and how do I get rid of them?

My lemmongrass is growing outside in a pot among other potted herbs. I justed noticed the flies yesterday, none of the other herbs are infested.

Wash plant off with a mild soap solution. Use a tablespoon of a dish soap "without a degreaser" to a gallon of water. Spray plant. Make sure you spray the backside of the blades.
