What does privet, the noxious shrub, look like?

Have been given a decent sized shrub to plant in our new property, but I've been told it may be privet. I have no idea what privet looks like, but know that it is a noxious shrub. A photo would be ideal should anyone have one to show me.

Answers:
Noxious? Well, the State of Connecticut has declared the common European privet (Ligustrum vulgare) noxious, but there are at least 40 species (and probably more than 50) of privet.
