My 2month old Ficus plant, in a pot, is dying. What can I do?

they need to dry out between waterings and they like alot of light just no direct.it may need to be repotted into a larger pot.maybe it had been in the same pot awhile before you got it.if you water them too much the leaves will turn yellow. they are fairly easy to care for though.

Ficus plants are finiky and often drop leaves when moved. Being in a draft could make this worse. I don't know anything about the Nitrophoska. Is it in the proper amount of shade? Probably morning shade, afternoon sun would be the best. And do you water it regularly?
Put it outside in a shaded and protected area. Soak the pot so the soil is thoroughly damp -- you may have to put it in a basin or plastic bag. Water it thoroughly every week or twice a week and use diluted solution of miracle grow. I have had ficus trees for twenty years and every so often they just need a vacation from being on stage inside. Sometimes they loose most of their leaves but they bounce back better than ever after the rest cure outside.
Check it for scales. If you haven't moved it lately, or it's environment hasn't changed, scales (or another bug) could be the culprit.
Check the leaves closely and bark closely. If you find a sticky resin, then it has scales.
You can try to get rid of them, but it's very difficult. You have to touch each scale with rubbing alcohol, and spray it with an insecticide.
I had two beautiful ficus plants, one of them got scales and it quickly spread to the other. I tried for months to get rid of them, but I finally had to throw the plants away - so they wouldn't spread to other plants.
Since your plant is only two months old.....it's quite possible that it's just in shock. Anytime I've bought a new ficus, it drops leaves for a few months. Just leave it where it is - give it plenty of light - and it will bounce back once it is acclimated to it's environment.
