If I already enjoy an elder brochure sprinkler system installed how do I changeover it to an automatic system?

any ways.
if it has adjectives manual valve that you just turn sour and on to water diffrent section, then you will want to dig adjectives of them up and replace them all beside electric solenoid valves.
later you will have to run line from all the valve to where you want to put your timer, after install your timer and there you shift!
hope fully you have a shut bad valve for the entire system where on earth it connects to the house line or meter. if, than i would personally go away the manual valve on and just install the solenoid valve ahead of each instruction book valve that road if you ever have aproblem you can turn sour the mainline to whichever valve have the problem. and not runup your water bill. you may never find where on earth the lines tapp into your house line to install a shut bad valve, so you would hold to do that or just not hold a shut off.
if adjectives the valves are within one place then you can put in a shut off tap and backflow preventer before the valve.
make sure when you plumb everything surrounded by that you have everything facing the correct route. ( all valve and such have an arrow pointing to which route the flow is going. )
also make sure adjectives the pipes are clean and dry until that time glueing.
your wiring, i would recommend some 18 guage multistrand rope. 1 wire for adjectives (white) then use adjectives the other s for your lead wires ( respectively zone gets one and the adjectives hooks to everything.
valves- an easy to verbs brand is Hunter
reliable is rainbird
high pressure areas use Irritrol brand valve.
stay away from all other brands. i work near this stuff and i know what is good to use and last.
timers use Hunter or Rainbird. nothing else.
Barron make good flex too.
