What can I grow that flowers within winter contained by the UK?

I want some winter colour in my garden . What flowers throughout the winter months and will cheer me up? All suggestions gratefully received.


Answers:    pansies and wallflowers will hand over you plenty of colour in winter contained by your garden as you can get them both contained by a variety of different colours. hopefully we don,t own white christmas to cover them !!!!!!

Winter flowering jasmin (has yellow flowers and is evergreen)

try winter jasmine capture yourself a few evergreen bushes as well.Holly looks angelic berries etc and variated foliage will perk you up no end .

Christmas (or Winter) Box (Latin name: Sarcococca) have highly fragranced flowers from late December through to Early March. It's scent is amazing for the time of year. It is fully hardy and is an evergreen shrub. It comes surrounded by various sizes, I hold the dwarf varriety that grows no bigger than a couple of feet lofty. It has shiney ominous green leaves, with small white flowers!
Winter pansies ,cyclamen is nice lately now ,Bellis ,polyanthus ,and obviously the beautiful Hellabores.
If you can obtain hold of a yuletide camelia they flower at Christmas time.

You can get philosophy at different times of the seaons by going to garden centres and really other gardens.

And if we achieve snow we all look impossible to tell apart .
