What is the best time of year to pick herb and how do you dry them?
Answers: Assuming you are in the UK it is a touch late for the soft herb like basil, but rosemary, sage and a few others will still be fine. It is noteworthy to pick the herbs on a dry afternoon because if they are damp next they will most likely progress mouldy.

I really depends on what herb you are wishing to dry and store, and also contained by what quantity.
Assuming you are picking the herb at their optimum, tieing the stems and hanging up surrounded by a warm, dry, airy room will be fine if you aren't contained by a rush. If you have a hulking amount you want todry, forget the oven as this will dry them to fast and verbs the tast, flavour and health properties as it's basically too warm. You should look for a dehydrator as these will do the mission perfectly contained by a few hours and you can put quite a great deal in. You pick them according to thier growth rate etc..I pick mine daily and frequent herbs necessitate picking so they dont"harden" on you or flower and stop...A cheap dehydrator will dry them nicely..I salaried 20.00 for mine...Winter will be here soon and I will move most inside from my beds..are cart cuttings off them and hold them going inside...here is a couple pictures of my herbs here..I am terribly experienced at growing herbs and veggies..
Pick herb as they mature, but previously the plants set seed. Pick them first entity in the morning, when they are at their most succulent, consequently dry them by wrapping the stems in bunches and slack them upside down in a heat up, dry place. Alternate methods include putting them on a tray in an oven beside just the pilot fluffy on, or using a dehydrator.
i pick them anytime & hang them upside down surrounded by dry, warm nouns till they are naturally dry. in attendance are different methods to preserve their colors...but i use my herbs for cooking
