Will weedeater gas hurt a lawnmower?
Answers:
If the gas is pre-mixed with oil it will not do severe damage to your mower. I have used it many times in mine, and I was a landscaper for years. The lawn mower may smoke a bit more, and you run the risk of fouling the spark plug more quickly due to the burning oil in the combustion process.
Try to use pre-mix only when you have to, but your lawn mower won't be ruined if you do use it. The mower will function best if you use pure gasoline.

well one thing the weed eater gas is a 2 cycle blend so their is oil mixed in it if you have some gas in your mower allready you can put a little of the weed eater gas in not much one thing it will do is smoke because the oil is burning off and it burns alot more dirty than gas will so dont just put straite weed eater in your mower

Most weedeaters are two cycle engines and use gas mixed with oil. Most lawnmowers are four cycle engines and use only gas as a fuel therefore, you should not use the weedeater fuel in your lawnmower. The oil would gunk up the lawnmower's engine in time.
I know for a fact its safe..... One of my old briggs gets all the junk gas, sometimes straight old gas mixed at a 40:1 ratio of 2 cycle oil..., it won't do any harm at all..... it would actually lube the upper cylinder quite well in fact.... might knock some carbon loose..... the downside it will smoke, and you might get oil deposits under where the muffler is. It won't "gunk" up anything engine wise.... unless you leave it there untreated (no fuel stabilizer) for months at a time, and the gas turns to gum.
