We have a tree in our front yard that is very large, maybe 100 ft tall.. it has very dark leaves, greenish-brown. I've looked it up online and the leaves on our tree resemble the leaves of a red maple tree, however the website I looked at said that red maple leaves are light green with a whitish underside. Ours, as I said, has dark green leaves. In the fall our leaves turn a brilliant, dark red. The twigs and leaf stems are red. Can anyone tell me what kind of tree we have?
