How do you pursue a cat to stay away from the bird feeder?

My bird feeders are located near bushes/tree surrounded by order to provide them beside a safe place to fly put a bet on and forth from. A neighbour's cat has discovered this and is lay in hang around under the bush. I'm looking for a past the worst yet forceful way to discourage the cat from hiding beneath the bush. thanks

Answers:    Since it is your neighbour's cat my red collar instinct was to eradicate it. However, in our civilized world where on earth the neighbour's cat has more rights the homesteader, I would recommend moving the bird feeder away from the trees and possibley raise its height. There are shields you can put on the pole to stop the cat from jump up at the feeder similar to squirrel guards. If you leave the feeder by the trees the cat will eventually numeral out another method to the hunt.
my advice is to lay within wait near a water pistol or spray bottle even a hose will work. respectively time you see the cat come near the feeder furnish it a quick spurt cats repugnance water and will swot up really quick to stay away. this also works to tutor cats not to go close by certain peices of furniture or the kitchen bench. right luck.
We have both cats and bird feeders, and the solitary sure solution to this problem is to put the feeder in a place where on earth the cat cannot get at it. Where you hold yours, the cat has a faultless hiding place and it's down too low for the birds to put away safely.

We enjoy ours hung from a tree branch far out away from the tree trunk, so the cats can't climb the tree and get to it. We also hold one on a pole which is impossible for cats to climb. This way it's entertaining for the cats to view the birds, and safe for the birds to come and chomp through. Another advantage is that squirrels can't catch to them either.
Rubber snake and dosing the nouns with pepper. The rubber snake may deter the birds too, but why not try it.
Stick it up on a pole so the cate can;t acquire to it. Also - they sell those automatic sprinkles that work flimsy motion detector lights, and come on when something crosses its path. You could try that too,.
