What's the right time to make a cement walk.?

I want to make a small cement walk in my backyard. About 1 foot wide and two or so ft.long. It's basically to meet the shed and the existing slab that's been there over 10 years. My grandbabies trip when not looking they play back there. Hell I even trip. the slab is about 2 inches higher than the land is and I want to even it out..

Answers:
The best time of the day to lay cement is early morning. If you pour during the hottest part of the day, the cement can develop air bubbles and crumble over time.

go out and do it now
you can do it any time of year
Not sure what you are asking when you ask what is the "right time." You want weather that's not terribly cold or terribly hot, as the concrete dries too slowly in the cold and too quickly in the heat.

If you have never done this sort of project before, find out (you could always call the local Public Works department) where somebody else is laying down some sidewalk. Watch what they do to see how it's done.

Once you have your walkway you'll want to move some dirt near the new walk so you and your grandkids don't trip on the new concrete you've just laid.

Best of success.
