Does anybody know of any flowers that will grow with little or no sunlight?

I HAVE A SMALL AREA NEXT TO THE FRONT OF MY HOUSE THAT I WANT TO PLANT SOME FLOWERS IN BUT IT HAS NO ACCESS TO SUNLIGHT. I DON'T WANT TO PLANT SHRUBS BECAUSE THE AREA IS ONLY ABOUT 6 INCHES WIDE BY 6 FT LONG, ALONG THE SOUTH SIDE OF A SIDEWALK.

Answers:
Impatiens. They come in all different colors and variations. They actually do better in shade or partial sun then they do in full sun. They do like plenty of water though.

Other answers:
most begonias, African violets, any true shade plant, most tropicals will do just fine. But, any plant may get rangy if the lighting is too low.

Hostas do great in shade. They will be foliage most of the time, but will flower during the summer. I have lots of them in my shady yard.
Six inches is very narrow. That limits the list. But, also you must realize that many plants such as impatiens that bloom well in partial sun, will not bloom as well in dense shade. You will see the difference if you have some flowers in part shade and some in full shade. The planting row will be uneven. The list I am sending you are of annuals and perennials that are small enough to fit your space.
Viola, Lamium, Helleborus, Cyclamen, Dicentra, Begonia- (fiberous), Haberlea, Primula, Vinca, and Alyssum.
I think that Lamium would be the best choice from this list.
