yes i agree it is hard to answer questions on flora wih out knowing the climatic conditions .

I am concerned with Permaculture and soil is of less importance to me ,as we advocate the building of soil.But it is always what we start out with and so soil type is relevant,

what is also important is the altitude and gradient of the land if any.And the direction of the Sun helps

And you are absolutely right ,these kind of questions require a certain amount of background information.to be able to give a short correct answer ,instead of having to cover countless possibilities.
