Other than lettuces and spinach, are nearby vegetables that tolerate/produce very well surrounded by partial shadow?

I am in Nevada and even within the shade it is hot and dry during the growing season.


Answers:    in my gardening years, I own noticed how bell pepper will burn in the hot sun...so I started planting them on the eastern side of my tomato bushes, so that they attain about a partly day of sun and are protected at the hottest fragment of the day. They did unbelievably well.
Avocados and Pumpkins....but I don't expect they'll adapt to Nevada.....too hot and dry.
